Define transom connection

 Generating sections > Transom connection > Select profiles

Select the TRANSOM connections with the selection window. All transoms, which cross this selection window, are provided at both ends with a transom connector.

Procedure:

Draw your elevation with the program "Generating sections". Fillings don't have to be defined yet. Select the command "Transom connection" rverb_16 from the pull-down menu "Generating sections". Transom types dependent on the glazing pocket are only displayed in the following dialog box if the glazing pocket has already been defined .

Call the command SELECT PROFILES and draw a selection window across your elevation. Select the connecting type from the appearing dialog box. The output of the transom cut and the listing of all necessary system parts is generated accordingly in the cut list.

SYSCAD® confirmes your selection in the text screen with:

If the selected connection type does not apply to the MULLION / TRANSOM combination in your elevation, the program displayes a red arrow. If you modify the profile, the glazing pocket or the corner connection after determining the transom connection, all connecting types of this MULLION / TRANSOM combination or elevation are deleted and must be redefined.

In case there is only one connection type, it is assigned without selection mask displayed above. If there are different profiles and hence different transom connection types in a facade, all connection types are enquired subsequently. The program does not need to be started repeatedly.
